Hazel – Year 1

Welcome to Hazel Class.

Yesterday some of the children attended our Christmas entertainment evening. We were extremely excited when a special visitor dropped in to say hello!

The Christmas decorations have started to go up in Hazel Class. Today we worked as a team to build and decorate our tree. We think it looks beautiful! What do you think?

A big thank you to all of the grown ups that attended our phonics assembly. We had lots of fun showing you all of the different sounds and how we use songs to help us remember them.

This week has been Nursery Rhyme Week at Meadowhead. We started the week by listening to and acting out a range of nursery rhymes. We then used our DT skills to create a protective case to prevent Humpty Dumpty from breaking when he falls. Miss Rudge ended up covered in sticky egg slime!
