Over the past couple of weeks we have been learning all about India. The children have had so much fun trying different Indian food such as curry, naan bread, onion bhaji and poppadoms. They all thought the food was delicious!
Over the next couple of weeks, we are reading the story 'Stick Man'. We are going to be doing lots of fun learning around this book. Today we made our very own Stick Men from the sticks we collected on our Autumn walk. Can you spot yours?

This half term we are learning to play the recorder. The children have really enjoyed learning different songs and performing in front of the class. Miss Clarkson has had to buy some ear plugs!

Nursery Rhyme Week!
Last week the children celebrated National Nursery Rhyme week. We used drama and role play to act out different nursery rhymes. Towards the end of the we create our own nursery rhyme book. Last week in English, the children celebrated bonfire night. We made edible sparklers and drank hot chocolate around our very own bonfire. We shared our Bonfire night shape poems and sang campfire songs.
It's party time!
To celebrate our fantastic learning at the end of last half term we had a pirate party. The children all looked fantastic in their pirate costumes and had a fun time eating party food and playing party games.
Making Pirate Pizzas
In Oak Class we have been busy writing instructions on how to make a treasure island pizza. We used a variety of ingredients as the topping to make it look like a treasure island. Our favourite part was eating them, they tasted delicious!
Oak Class School Council Representatives
Last week the children in Oak class voted for who they wanted to be in the School Council. We are very please to announce the Oak Class representatives are Zack and Emily-Kate, congratulations!
