1st June 2020

Dear Parent and Carers,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the fantastic weather we have been having but still remaining safe.

I know the lockdown period has been hard for everyone but I also hope you have enjoyed the extra family time together. Whilst I have enjoyed seeing photos of children completing our home learning activities I have also loved hearing about children

  • learning to ride their bike for the first time
  • making daisy chains
  • having memorable 'lockdown' birthdays!
  • having water fights
  • making brilliant bug hotels
  • climbing and swinging from trees
  • baking the most amazing looking cakes
  • growing fruit and vegetables
  • going on ridiculously long bike rides as a family

and many more amazing 'family' activities. I really hope you have made some great memories.

This week will be the last week of home learning activities posted online. These can be viewed below or on our website at https://www.meadowheadinfants.co.uk/home-learning/

Later this week all children will receive a personalised learning pack delivered through your door with activities for you to do with your child. There will be a range of maths, english and topic activities for your child to complete.

We aim to the deliver these home learning packs every two weeks so the next one will arrive the week beginning the 15th June.

I will be in contact tomorrow with further details about the planned phased re-opening of school.

If there is anything we can help with please do not hesitate to contact me either through a message on Facebook or by emailing me at james.waddington@meadowheadinfants.blackburn.sch.uk

Stay safe,

Mr Waddington
